Our Story

BedZee came to life when I tried to convert my little boy from being swaddled to a sleeping bag.  When I started trialing the sleeping bag I found that he would not stay asleep, he would just roll around the cot, hit the sides and wake up.  He also kept getting his legs caught between the gaps in the cot railings.  Then I decided I would trial a blanket.  The blanket came off constantly and he would wake during the night, meaning we had to go back in his room to tuck him in.  I needed something to keep him more secure and content.

I searched high and low for a blanket that could secure somehow to the mattress so that it would not come off my child during the night and couldn’t find a thing.  Finally, I decided the only way I could find a solution, was to look at designing my own blanket.

After a lot of experimenting with prototypes on my own child, BedZee came alive and my child was sleeping through the night.  There is no better feeling than a sleeping child because along with a sleeping child comes a sleeping Mum and Dad!

My next thought was,

I really need to share this design with other parents having the same problem.  So here I am sharing my beloved BedZee with you.
